The job:
An opportunity to work for a fast expanding leading firm in the charity not for profit as well as providing taxation consultancy to many charity businesses. A support role to the Directors and firms’ managers. For this role you will need to be well organised and client-focused, with great communication skills, strong attention to details, the ability to work well as part of a team, conduct meetings with clients, have a flexible and adaptable approach. The salary:
The salary will be dependent on experience.
Salaries are paid monthly in arrears through the BACS System directly into the bank or building society account of each member of staff. Caladine Ltd must pay salaries through the BACS system. They cannot be paid by cheque. It will therefore be important to supply account details in order to ensure prompt payment.
Working week:
The hours of work for this post are 35 hours per week, excluding meal breaks (these are unpaid), 52 weeks per year and hours of attendance will be from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Monday to Friday, with an hour for lunch.
Holidays:
The annual leave entitlement is 25 days (plus bank holidays) and an annual birthday holiday.

Job description
Duties:
- Assisting the Partners with high level Accounting/Tax work and related correspondence.
- Dealing with clients and being proactive in corresponding with HMRC and government departments.
- Accounting and Tax research as necessary.
- Finalisation of Statutory Accounts, Tax Returns and other Compliance work.
- Assisting with supervision of senior staff and firms’ accounting department.
- Assisting as necessary in the firms audit work on related matters.
- Oversight of the firm’s Financial Bureau.

Essential:
- Ability to finalise financial statements and tax compliance work for small and medium sized enterprises.
- Strong knowledge of direct tax legislation.
- Qualified ACA/ACCA with a minimum of 6 years’ practice experience.
- Good understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
- Accurate and good working knowledge of accounting software packages.
- Good communication and IT skills able to deal with problems and clients’ needs.
- Driving licence and access to car.
Desirable:
- Understanding of Charity Accounting and Charity law.
